Harry Stout Provides Change Leadership as Insurance Industry Responds to DOL Fiduciary Rule

Park City, Utah – May 10, 2016 – Insurance Insight Group (IIG), an insurance marketing strategy firm announced its managing director, Harry Stout, is providing leadership to several organizations in the United States’ fixed annuity marketplace on ways to move forward as the industry faces the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Fiduciary Rule.

Stout’s experience includes several years in Australia where he led financial services companies during a time when Australian regulators introduced a series of changes similar to what the DOL has just introduced for the U.S. He has successfully managed and grown insurance marketing and distribution businesses in this environment.

Mr. Stout is an acknowledged senior leader in the global financial services business with experience in all key industry business lines with particular expertise in marketing, sales, product innovation and distribution. He has over 25 years of financial services industry experience in the U.S. and abroad, working in Europe, Northern Asia, Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

His U.S. business experience includes serving as President of ING’s U.S. Retail Annuity Business Group, where he directed ING’s fixed, indexed and variable annuity business. He also spent over a decade with Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company where he served as Chief Executive Officer and President as well as holding key senior leadership roles for its parent companies USF&G Corporation, St. Paul Companies and Old Mutual U.S. Holdings, Inc. He began his career in public accounting with KPMG where he spent 10 years working primarily with multi-national enterprises and served as a national instructor for the firm’s training programs.
